Day 01: Arrive Beijing
Arrive Beijing International Airport or Beijing Train Station, you will be met by our guide who will escort you to your hotel in Beijing. Rest of the day is at leisure. We suggest you may visit the busiest Wuangfujing Street, if time permits. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Beijing
After your breakfast at the hotel we take you for stroll in the world largest Tiananmen Square which is bordered by the Great Hall of the People and Chinese History Museum with Mao's Mausoleum in the center before going on to the Forbidden City, the complex of Imperial Palaces which were home to the emperors for over 500 years. Some of the grand halls have been used as museums for collections of Chinese paintings and treasures, etc. After a Chinese lunch we visit the Temple of Heaven, an exquisite example of Ming architecture, where the emperors performed the annual rites essential to the well being of China. The tour is inclusive of Chinese lunch. In the evening you may optionally attend a performance of Chinese acrobatics or the Beijing Opera where Jasmine tea and Imperial snacks are served in the traditional Chinese setting. Day 03: Beijing
After your breakfast at the hotel we visit the Ming Tombs and its underground Palace where the Ming dynasty emperors were buried. In the afternoon we visit the world renowned Great Wall of China. The fortified towers, built in different shapes - round, rectangular or oval, stand majestically amidst the undulating mountains surrounding them. The tour is inclusive of Chinese lunch. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight. (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day 04: Beijing to Shanghai
After breakfast full day free for shopping or take one of the optional tours. Later in the evening transfer to the train station for your night train to Shanghai departing at 2000 hours. Overnight in the train. (Breakfast)
Day 05: Arrive Shanghai
In the morning at 1000 hours we arrive in Shanghai. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Later in the afternoon we visit Yu Yuan Garden which is an old Chinese quarter of Shanghai where cobbled streets are lined with traditional shops selling herbal medicines, handicrafts, Chinese tea, and a variety of tantalizing snacks. Here we can stroll through moon gates and latticed pavilions. Later we visit the Shanghai Bund, lined with gracious European buildings overlooking the Huangpu River, you may also walk along the busiest Nanjing road to mix with the Chinese shoppers. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel. (Dinner)
Day 06: Shanghai to Hangzhou
After breakfast we visit the Jade Buddha Temple. From there transfer to the Train Station for a short train journey (departure at 1202 hours) through rice paddies and traditional houses to the city of Hangzhou which Marco Polo described as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". On arrival at 1420 hours transfer to the hotel. Later in the afternoon we visit Lingyin Temple. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 07: Hangzhou to Guilin
After breakfast we take a boat trip on the West Lake surrounded by idyllic gardens. Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival transfer to the hotel. From this valley flowers rise hundreds of individual cone-shaped mountains, clothed in dense vegetation, with rice paddies at their feet. Rest of the day free. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 08: Guilin
After breakfast we take you for a full day Boat trip on the Li River which takes us through the mountains to the village of Yongshuo. Back to Guilin in the late afternoon with time to shop. The tour includes your Chinese lunch. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day 09: Guilin to Guangzhou
After breakfast we take you for a full day tour visiting Reed's Flute Cave, Fubo Mountain and Elephant's Trunk Hill. The tour includes your Chinese lunch. In the evening transfer to the station for your night train to Guangzhou departing at 1815 hours. Overnight in the train. (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day 10: Arrive Guangzhou
Arrive in Guangzhou at 0734 hours. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Later in the day visit Memorial Hall of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, Yuexiu Park and Liurong Temple. You tour includes Chinese lunch. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day 11: Guangzhou to Bangkok/Hongkong
After breakfast day free till departure. Transfer to the airport (if flying to Bangkok) or transfer to the train station (if travelling to Hong Kong). (Breakfast)
